TUNIQ® was founded in 2019 as a family-run business in Surrey. As parents of young kids, we endured rather stressful experiences when shopping for school uniforms and hence TUNIQ was born. We realised that there was an opportunity to contribute to this market and significantly improve the shopping experiences when it comes to schoolwear & sportswear products. We pledged to offer the best-in-class service to our customers and at the same time completely take out any stressful experience.
Our experiences completely resonated with key findings from a research published in 2018 for the UK Schoolwear segment:
– over 53% of parents find the back-to-school shopping period stressful
– parents want convenience and value; most find back-to-school shopping stressful
– 79% of the parents say that they prefer to spend more on back-to-school items that will last
